Light-plane Crash Claims Life Of Man And Grandson

Spring, TX - A woman was driving a car when all of a sudden it was struck by a light-plane that fell from the sky. Inside the light-plane were a man and his grandson who were just about to land at David Wayne Hooks Airport when they struck a pole and crashed.

The man and his grandson were both killed in the accident. The driver of the car, a 27-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital, where she has been listed in stable condition.

The crash was the second fatal one of the weekend. Hobby Airport also saw the crash of a private jet which claimed the life of two men.

The victims of the most recent crash have been identified as Robert James Little Sr., 55, of Spring, and his grandson, Robby Austin Little, 10, of Pearland, according to a spokesman from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to the investigative reports, Little was piloting the Piper Seneca V aircraft at around 8 a.m. They were preparing to land at Hooks when the plane struck a pole and was thrown off-course and directly into the car.

The car was headed south on Stuebner-Airline road when it was struck.
